Hard Hitter is a sweet hockey romance. As far as sports romances go this one had me smiling.
We met Patrick in book 1 and he was the quiet captain of the Brooklyn Bruisers. In this one we find out about his past and it had my heart aching for him a bit. He keeps to himself and I found myself so interested in his story. I was captivated to find out his story, why he kept to himself and his upbringing in this story will melt your heart. Ari is the team yoga instructor, masseuse her ex is a jerk and I found myself hating him. I also wanted Patrick so badly to be the knight in shining armour and he didn’t disappoint. It was great seeing Ari chip away at his wall. He was so sweet with Ari and it made my heart melt.

We also get to see some other members off the Brooklyn Bruisers. Leo & Georgia whom I loved as well as get some insight into future books from this series.

A good overall hockey romance with some intense moments. I am looking forward to the next book in this series

He’s a fighter in the rink, but he’s about to learn that playing nice can help you score…

As team captain and enforcer, Patrick O’Doul puts the bruise in the Brooklyn Bruisers. But after years of hard hits, O’Doul is feeling the burn, both physically and mentally. He conceals his pain from his coach and trainers, but when his chronic hip injury becomes too obvious to ignore, they send him for sessions with the team’s massage therapist.

After breaking up with her long-term boyfriend, Ari Bettini is in need of peace of mind. For now, she’s decided to focus on her work: rehabilitating the Bruisers’ MVP. O’Doul is easy on the eyes, but his reaction to her touch is ice cold. Ari is determined to help O’Doul heal, but as the tension between them turns red hot, they both learn that a little TLC does the body good…
