REVIEW – THIS IS WAR, BABY by K. WEBSTER
My Rating – 5 Stars
Well after popping my K Webster cherry with Whispers and the Roars I immediately wanted more from this author. So I picked us this book and loved it.
Another dark romance that immediately gripped my attention. I’m on a dark reading frenzy at the moment. Quickly into this book I realized that it too would be devoured within hours.
Gabe I’m not sure I’ve hated a character more then Gabe.
Baylee I felt for her throughout but she is a survivor to me and after all the shit she’s been through still has a sense of compassion about her.
War oh my gawd I fell in love with War. My heart ached for him and I think my reaction would have been just like Baylee’s.
I definitely see myself marathon reading the books that are released in this series so far. K. Webster left me with too many questions and my heart dropped at the end of this book. So here I go right into book 2 thankfully it’s already released.
My life had a plan. Until he invaded it and stole it all away. My captor took me and I became a pawn.
His strategy changed and he sent me away to WAR, because money is everything in this world.
In my WAR, though, I found peace.
I couldn’t help but find love where I least expected it, with a man who lived a battle every day of his life
…all inside his head.
But then my captor came back for me.
Yet, this time, battle lines had been drawn and I was protected.
So we thought.
Even though my WAR was raging,
my captor would fight to the death.
The good guys always win, right?
All’s fair in love and WAR, right?
Not this time.
This is War, Baby is a dark romance. A really dark one. So dark you’re going to wish you had a flashlight to see yourself to the end and someone to hold your hand. Human trafficking, dubious consent, and strong sexual themes that could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. This story is NOT for everyone.
