REVIEW – BOSSED by SLOANE HOWELL
Loved this book !!!! This was a fantastic quick an easy read for me. I literally devoured it in a matter of hours. From the get go I was hooked.
Jenny is rushing to an interview and runs into this arrogant, cocky asshole. Some banter and quick witted comebacks and spewed at each other and they go their separate ways. She makes it to her interview and sure enough that cocky asshole she has the run in with turns out to be her new boss.
First, let’s start off by saying I love asshole characters, Ethan was moody, broody and sometimes deserved to be punched in the junk. Jenny was just the person to do that and it made for such an entertaining read. Between their verbal sparring and the sexual tension that was off the charts in this book we also had some very heart warming moments knowing why Jenny chose to work there.
Ethan will surprise you with his sweet secretive ways. When they do drop the gloves so to speak it ends up being a whole lotta HOT STEAMY MOMENTS that will have you thinking they will burn that office building down. I mean DAYUMMMM !!!!
There are also some secondary characters in this that I absolutely loved. Ethan’s best friend Matt was hilarious at times, and completely awesome as was Jenny’s best friend Kelsey. They both had me chuckling at times and provided some FUNNY AS HELL moments.
This story flowed from beginning to end for me. Funny in the right moments, tragic and sweet in others and had characters that you found yourself invested in from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this to those looking for something that will have you hooked from the beginning to the very end.
I truly hope that we see a book about Matt and Kelsey. Hopefully together.
A 4.5 Star Read for me.
In this provocative and sexy* office romance, a cheeky new hire tempts a hotshot sports agent to mix business with pleasure.
Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.
Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close a deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.
