REVIEW – HARD JUSTICE by LORI FOSTER
Hard Justice is the first book I have read by Lori Foster and I definitely enjoyed it.
Justice shows up to Fallon’s home as her hired bodyguard. Not your typical bodyguard donned in a suit in tie sticking out like a sore thumb but definitely someone that you might find dangerous, ready to get into a brawl at any second. Justice is also a former MMA turned security guard. Fallon is sheltered and has some past issues that has kept her from enjoying a care free life.
This book had me smiling throughout, Justice is definitely an Alpha and I love my Alpha’s. He doesn’t care to change for others and acts like himself regardless of who is around. Fallon’s desire to finally live her life and Justice trying to be professional and take care of her safety was so endearing while trying to ignore his feelings towards her especially with her over protective parents.
He was exactly what Fallon needed and I couldn’t help but smile watching her come out of her shell. Justice had my heart swooning with how he treats Fallon, so protective and yet so attuned to her needs understanding that she’s not your every day woman and needed someone to show her what she was worth.
There are some intense moments when someone seems to be after them which will have you wondering who the target is and who is behind it all. As well the secondary characters in this are also intriguing and definitely have me interested in reading more books by this Author.
If you are looking for a sweet somewhat forbidden romance with a little bit of suspense I would recommend this one. I will definitely want more from this series and looking forward to reading the rest of the books including the 1st one.
Playing it safe has never felt so dangerous…
Justice Wallington knows how to harness his strength and intimidating size—skills he put to good use first in the MMA cage, and now as a bodyguard at the Body Armor agency. But no opponent has ever left him feeling as off balance as his new client, heiress Fallon Wade. Far from a spoiled princess, she’s sweet and intriguingly innocent. It’s a risk-free assignment, until he’s required to fake a relationship with her in order to blend in.
Sheltered from the world after a family tragedy, Fallon longs to experience life—going to bars, dancing, talking to strangers. Not easy with a huge, lethal-looking bodyguard shadowing her every move. Justice seems like her polar opposite, but pretending to be a couple stirs undeniable heat. And when danger strikes again, it’s not just her safety in jeopardy, but a passion that’s real, raw and absolutely against the rules…
