Review G

I was really dying to read this story and then I finally got it in my little hands and it it was just good not the greatness I was expecting. It was a cute little story and sort of predictable it didn’t really grab my attention until about 70% into. This was an insta-love which I like so that was a plus and the slow build up for the unbelievable yet odd turn of events that happens. The sex is eh which is not really a big deal for me usually because I’ve read books without sex and the chemistry between the characters was hotter than these two!  Now on the positive side..The things Dex does to prove that he his genuinely interest in Bianca is super sweet and romantic. The storyline definitely had a little bit of angst, a plot twist, some swoon worthy moments and of course an HEA!

A new standalone from New York Times bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.

I met Bianca in an elevator.
She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.
The beautiful, raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.
She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”—her afternoon appointment.
Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type—snobby, over educated, silver- spooned men who didn’t appreciate the simple things in life.
So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t—a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn’t want it to end.
I began dating her as “Jay”—all the while letting her interview the real me over email.
I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Single Dad Next Door ~ A Review

My Rating – 3.5 Stars

This was a quick read that will leave you wondering what will happen next. Reid is a single dad hanging on to his garage by a thread and then his ex wife’s best friend moves in next door. It was a very fast paced story that had you wanting to know what was going to happen next. Reid is a mechanic that spends his time shirtless working on cars but when Sandra moves in and has a hard time keeping her eyes on her side of the road  things start to get interesting. Seeing him like that all the time and how he treated his son with such  love and affection really got her motor going. Roaman his 5 year old son is such an adorable little guy and just couldn’t keep a secret! Always telling on his Dad to Sandra, making it hard for Reid to conceal how he feels.  The things people will do and the lengths they will go to for love. Reid shows Sandra exactly that and before she can protest he’s already signed the papers so she can have her dream even if it means he has to give up his.  Overall it was a good read that kept my attention and had my favorite a HEA!  This story is great if you like insta-love, HOT single dads, steamy scenes, and drama!!
I will say that I was a little disappointed in that I thought it was a full length because it states it’s 300 pages but by the time you are done reading it’s a novella and there’s another story at the end of it!

My grandfather left me his business with one insane condition:
I need a wife and two kids. Too bad I’m a divorced single dad.
Cue my ex-wife’s best friend moving in next door.
And then mix in a few bad decisions.
What do you get? A complicated, sexy mess.

The list of reasons I should stay away from my neighbor is about as long as his… wrench. He’s a dirty mechanic, he’s a single dad, and he can’t seem to keep his shirt on for more than five minutes.

Did I mention his ex wife is my best friend? Yeah. Reid Riggins is absolutely, one hundred percent, the last person in the world I should get involved with. Even if he is heart-stoppingly gorgeous with strong, powerful hands that could rip my clothes off with ease.

Not that I’ve imagined that, of course.

The point is I don’t want anything to do with him. He can stay in his stupid garage with his stupidly cute son and hit things with wrenches all day. He can keep on wearing those blue jeans that fit him just right for all I care.

Except I may have told a white lie to my eccentric, rich parents. I may have told them I’m engaged to a wealthy businessman, and now they want to meet my fake fiance. Unfortunately, Reid might be the only guy who’s willing to play along.

No problem. It’s just for a few days. Just to get them off my back. What could go wrong?

**This is a full-length, standalone fake marriage romance. No cheating or cliffhangers, and as always, Happily Ever After guaranteed.

Second chance romances are some of my favs.
The long distance pen pal friends that turn into a deep connection on an emotional level. With Noah being away at war and finding comfort in Grace’s letters. It pulled at my heart strings.

I loved Grace and felt the butterflies in my stomach when she rubs into Noah after he’s broken her heart. I could relate to how she sooo completely fell in love through the letters and how she remained almost loyal to him even after two years with no contact.

Noah’s determination to get back into her life knowing and trying to make sure he was worthy of her was soooo Swoony. Not too mention he’s an MMA fighter can we say hawt.

Where this fell short for me however was the letters themselves. They seemed like correspondence that was almost like checking in and telling each other what was happening in their lives. I was hoping for something deeper I think with them. Also with them meeting each other and then finally navigating through a relationship, the big speed bump they hit and I felt like I would see maybe more heartbreak, more angst.

I still quite enjoyed this book and will definitely read the rest of this series. I see that Bo’s book is next and definitely want to know more about him.

I liked this book. It had some very sweet moments, a little heartache and was overall a good read.
Overall a really enjoyable read 3.5 stars.

For four years, Grace Sullivan wrote to a Marine she never met, and fell in love. But when his deployment ended, so did the letters. Ever since that day, Grace has been coasting, academically and emotionally. The one thing she’s decided? No way is Noah Jackson — or any man — ever going to break her heart again.

Noah has always known exactly what he wants out of life. Success. Stability. Control. That’s why he joined the Marines and that’s why he’s fighting his way — literally — through college. Now that he’s got the rest of his life on track, he has one last conquest: Grace Sullivan. But since he was the one who stopped writing, he knows that winning her back will be his biggest battle yet.
